KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Senior Associate, Estate and Administrative Trust to join our Tax practice.
- Prepare, review, and analyze fiduciary income tax returns for administrative trusts and estates including Form 1041 for Administrative Trusts and Estate, Form 706 United States Estate (and Generation-Skipping Transfer) Tax Return, Form 706-GS(T), Generation-Skipping Transfer Tax Return for Terminations, Form 8971, Information Regarding Beneficiaries Acquiring Property From a Decedent and Form 1040 for decedents
- Manage a book of business and/or supervise the production of tax return preparation by Associate tax preparers
- Utilize Thomson Reuters OneSource Trust Tax platform and other cutting-edge technologies for client service delivery
- Communicate proactively with management regarding potential issues, contributing to the resolution before escalation and aiding in the enhancement of the team's tax technical acumen
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities
- Keep up to date on tax technical developments and data maintenance for all accounts
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of recent public accounting and/or experience working with income tax returns for administrative trusts and estates
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business, accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, information technology, data and analytics, engineering (financial, industrial or systems) or related fields; accounting and taxation is preferred
- Must have or be pursuing the state-specific education requirements to be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) in the principal place of business; a short-term plan for completion of such educational requirements following the start date for this position is required, with completion of such educational requirements prior to the start date for this position is preferred
- Experience using Thomson Reuters OneSource Trust Tax platform and intermediary knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code as it relates to trusts and estates
- Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; must be a flexible and adaptable team player and resourceful in delivering high quality work with the ability to independently manage assigned account load
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
