Job Description
This is a full time, salaried position working Monday through Friday. This is a work-from-home position, but does require residency in the San Diego area. Includes $5,000 retention incentive and $5,000 relocation assistance for eligible new hires.

Through collaboration and innovation, our IS professionals lead the frontier in caring for our community. The Epic Beaker Team supports both Anatomic Pathology (AP) and Clinical Pathology (CP), helping our lab teams optimize workflows.
The Specialist is a senior analyst who is an expert with Epic Beaker. To be successful, the Epic Beaker Specialist will be experienced in complex projects and performance improvement initiatives. The Specialist should have expert skills in lab instrumentation and other interfaces, 3rd party applications, Epic workflow, and Epic build.
Responsibilities include:
- Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Take the lead on troubleshooting and complex assignments.
- Coordinating/leading meetings, including those with clinical staff and leadership.
- Translate business requirements into operational solutions.
- Evaluate technical enhancements and consults with business to provide solutions to technical or process issues, guiding to best practices.
- Provides guidance, trains and develops the skills of less experienced IT staff.
The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:
- Internal candidates
- Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago
- Candidates with less than 1 year of experience
In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:
- Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
- Must remain in original department/specialty
- Must remain in original Job Title
- Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Five years of experience as an analyst and not a trainer
- Excellent critical and analytical thinking and excellent customer service skills
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Expert knowledge of relevant application workflows
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Business acumen in multiple functional areas
Required Certification/Registration:
- Beaker CP Certification/Accreditation
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree
- 7 years of related experience
- Beaker AP certification/accreditation
