Job Description

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
  • Duration: This assignment will run for approximately 1 year.
  • Compensation and Benefits: $26.00 - $31.00/hr, including paid holidays and vacation/sick leave. Full-medical insurance also available.
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, but can vary.
  • Location: This is a fully remote position.
DESCRIPTION

TES has current openings for Clinical Trial Protocol Specialists.

The incumbents will be responsible for performing document harmonization on prepared coverage analyses for the department. The incumbents will use attention to detail to ensure that the coverage analysis and related documents (informed consent form, clinical trial agreement/industry contract) do not contain any discrepancies. The incumbents will ensure that industry and university standards are maintained in the process.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to work in a team orientated setting, to prioritize work, and to follow through on routine assignments with minimal direction.

  • Proficient with computers, including the ability to operate personal computer software with sophisticated retrieval, storage, and merging capabilities.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and work with frequent interruptions.

  • Ability to interpret research contracts, study budgets, clinical protocols, and consent forms to extrapolate billing/coverage data.

  • Proficiency with Medical Terminology.

  • Healthcare professional experience (preferred not required).

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

A background check is required.

This position has been identified as a Mandated Reporter pursuant to the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA) and requires immediate reporting of physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, or neglect of anyone under the age of 18. It is the responsibility of the Mandated Reporter to ensure that they obtain proper training in order to fulfill their reporting responsibilities as required by the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and University policy, and to complete and submit the required reports to the UC San Diego Police Department without delay.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $53,800 - $91,000 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $25.77 - $43.58

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
